In 1998, Terry Pratchett was awarded the title of Chevalier of the Order of the British Empire for his contribution to literature.In a statement, the writer States that "it would be dishonest to hide this news from readers, because it will still have to inform publishers when negotiating contracts.The writer continues to work on a new book and tries to treat the situation "philosophically and with cautious optimism".Alzheimer's disease is a degenerative disease of the Central nervous system characterized by progressive decline in intellect, memory disorder and behaviour change.
